Kelowna man arrested in child pornography case

Kelowna RCMP say 46-year-old Patrick Micheal Waldrum has been charged with possession of child pornography.
Mounties say they worked closely with foreign police because the alleged offences spanned several countries.
Waldrum was arrested in Brooks, Alta., and has been remanded in custody until a court appearance.
Police seek witnesses to suspicious Christmas Eve fire in Prince George
Mounties in Prince George are looking for witnesses to a fire on Christmas Eve at the weigh scales on Highway 97 south.
The fire was reported about 6:20 a.m., and is being investigated as suspicious.
Emergency responders noted two pickup trucks leaving the area, but could not provide licence plate numbers.
Police officers are also looking into orange graffiti on a nearby container that says “good job McCreadie,” which they say may be related to recent impaired driving investigations, and believe the graffiti and the arson incidents are related.
Anyone who witnessed the fire or may have dashcam footage is asked to call police.
Police searching for suspect who held taxi driver at knifepoint in Prince George
Mounties in Prince George are seeking to identify a suspect who pulled a knife on a taxi driver and demanded to be driven out of province on Christmas.
Shortly after 11 p.m., the taxi driver stopped in front of the airport, exited the vehicle, and the suspect got into the driver’s seat and drove away.
Police say the taxi driver was unharmed.
The taxi was later located in a ditch. The carjacker was not found.
Investigators are looking for witnesses or dashcam footage of the orange taxi arriving at or leaving the airport.
