Surrey firefighters battle blaze at strip mall

There have been no reported injuries from the fire, which broke out in the 10600-block of 135A Street.

Firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze at a strip mall in Surrey on Wednesday night.

Shortly before 11 p.m., firefighters and police were called out to the fire in the 10600-block of 135A Street, according to Surrey Police Services.

There have been no reported injuries.

Police will remain on site until it’s safe for a fire inspector to investigate, said Ian MacDonald, a spokesperson for the SPS, early Thursday morning.

It appears that several businesses in the building were damaged by the flames.
