Max Verstappen’s partner shares pregnancy update as Red Bull star faces huge 2025

Kelly Piquet has revealed that she is in the third trimester of her pregnancy, meaning that the birth of her and ’s child may be just a handful of months away. The four-time world champion will become a father as he aims to defend his World Championship crown.

Piquet’s pregnancy was revealed to the world ahead of the final race of the 2024 season in Abu Dhabi. She and Verstappen posed side-by-side for an post that received nearly four million likes.

Since then, updates have been few and far between, and the baby’s gender is still unknown, but fans have received an update on the timeline of the childbirth after Piquet responded to a fan on her page.

In the comment section of a post from Piquet’s winter skiing holiday, a fan commented: “Not fair how pretty you are!! I’m currently pregnant in my first trimester and looking like I’m dying, and here you are pregnant and glowing and looking absolutely stunning.”

Piquet replied with some words of support and a positive new update. “My first trimester was rough! I’m entering my third now! You got this.” This means that the 36-year-old is now around 28 weeks pregnant, so Verstappen may get to meet his new child as soon as 12 weeks’ time.

Verstappen also faces a historic year on the race track in 2025 as he looks to match Michael Schumacher’s feat and claim a fifth successive Drivers’ Championship title. However, his chances are far from convincing, given and ’s strong form at the end of the 2024 campaign.

“We won’t be the favourites, but that’s okay,” he told Servus TV. “We still have to change a lot of things to be number one again. But that’s okay, and maybe sometimes it’s good not to be the favourite at the start of the season.”

At the FIA prize-giving ceremony in Rwanda, he added: “I tried my very best [in 2024] and we also know a lot [about] what we have to work on for next year. I’m very excited about that as well because it does look like it’s going to be a proper fight between a lot of teams.”
