Marcus Rashford could leave Man Utd this month
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has reportedly turned down three lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, amidst speculation over his future at Old Trafford.
The England forward has had a challenging season under the guidance of and , leading to uncertainty over his future.
Rashford, speaking before Christmas, then made his feelings clear that he was looking for a fresh start: “For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps. When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. You’re not going to have any negative comments from me about . That’s me as a person.”
He also stated: “If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”
The has now reported that Rashford has been offered up to £35million per year in Saudi Arabia, but no agreement has been reached, with the player keen on joining a “competitive” league.
Rashford will also reportedly only join a league that would help his aspirations of returning to the England squad, having missed out on Euro 2024 and not played for the national team since March.
Fans are left wondering if Rashford will remain a Red Devil come February. The forward netted an early goal as the reign at kicked off with a 1-1 stalemate against Ipswich. However, his involvement has waned since those initial bright moments under the ex-Sporting manager.
Rashford found himself omitted from several matchday squads by the new head coach. He made a comeback to the substitutes’ bench in United’s latest outing versus but remained on the sidelines throughout the disappointing 2-0 defeat.
After clinched the win with strikes from Alexander Isak and Joelinton, Amorim said: “I think about the team. You think a lot about Marcus. I think about the team. When I’m there I’m not making a point. I just want to win the game.
