Meghan Markle has made a return to Instagram
is likely trying to “look relaxed and confident” in her first post on her new account, according to one royal expert.
Upon her social media return with her account @meghan, the 43-year-old uploaded a new reel to welcome in the new year. The video, which is thought to have had behind the camera, showed Meghan running along a beach close to their Californian mansion.
The mother of two can then be seen bending down to write ‘2025’ in the wet sand before she beams directly at the camera lens.
As reported by the royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams has linked Meghan’s social media return to an ambitious branding efforts.
Speaking of Meghan’s intentions with her first post, he said: “Meghan’s intention in the video is to look relaxed, confident and, above all, symbolise the freedom they claim they have found.”

Discussing the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s brand, Mr Fitzwilliams added: “At the moment, interest in the Sussex brand remains enormous.”
Although her handle for her account is simply, ‘meghan’, many have noticed that the name of the account was quietly changed to ‘Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’.
Despite it having been almost five years since their final official royal engagement, Meghan and Harry are still referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the Royal Family’s website.
Meghan is said to gearing up for a major year with the release of a few solo projects, such as the official launch of American Riviera Orchard.

As well as her brand, Meghan will also be welcoming the release of her own lifestyle series, with the title and release date currently unknown.
Unlike Mr Fitzwilliams, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said that he sees Meghan’s comeback as a chance for her to regain credibility.
He said: “Meghan has returned to social media, and this is a great way of authoring her truth. She will be looking at 2025 as the year she reinvents herself and owns who she is. Using social media as a platform to express her personality and own her narrative is a positive step for her.”
