The surge in tourism can be attributed to Morocco’s dedicated efforts to promote its diverse attractions, ranging from the bustling souks of Marrakech to the serene beaches of Agadir and the cosmopolitan appeal of Tangier and Casablanca.

Geopolitical factors have also influenced travel patterns, with tourists like a French visitor in Marrakech opting for Morocco over other destinations such as Lebanon, citing security concerns in the Middle East.

Tourism is a vital pillar of Morocco’s economy, contributing 7% of its GDP.

In 2024 alone, the sector has generated €9.2 billion, with experts forecasting record-breaking revenues by year’s end.
