The Nags Head, a charming pub in Belgravia, has a strict policy against mobile phones. Not only are they frowned upon, but they’re also completely banned, to the extent that you can’t even use one to pay for your drink.
Nestled in in Knightsbridge, the Nags Head is a cosy little pub steeped in history and quirky charm. Its walls are decorated with old photos, vintage memorabilia and antique penny-slot machines.
The unique pub, which dates back to the 1800s, is currently managed by former guardsman and actor, Kevin Moran, whose name is proudly displayed out front.

At 84, Kevin Moran could well be Britain’s most stringent pub landlord, having ruled over The Nags Head for the past four decades. On top of the anti-phones policy, he enforces some other strict rules, according to .
Occupying a table too large for your group is not allowed, and neither is hanging your coat on the back of your chair instead of using the provided coat hooks.
Payment must be made with cash or a physical card – for which there’s a £15 minimum. Moran is also adamant about maintaining a child-free environment.
Lastly, foul language and drunkenness are not tolerated, making a change up and down the country.
Despite this list of rules, The Nags Head remains a popular boozer as people enjoy taking a step back in time and ditching their phones for quality conversation.
