has shaved off his controversial beard following his second consecutive loss to rival .

The ‘Gypsy King’ is currently taking a break with his family after his high-profile rematch with the Ukrainian boxer. Fury, aged 36, experienced his first professional defeat in May at the hands of ‘The Cat. ‘ Despite serious preparations for the rematch against Usyk, including not speaking to his wife for over three months leading up to the fight, Fury was unable to secure victory.

In their second encounter, Fury showed improved boxing skills and came out strong from the start. He had early success, particularly with his jab and body shots against Usyk. However, as the match progressed, Usyk’s speed and footwork overwhelmed Fury, leading to a unanimous decision in favour of the 37 year old Ukrainian.

Fresh images have surfaced showing Tyson Fury and his rival post-bout in Riyadh, both fighters seemingly unscathed. A close associate of Fury’s has disclosed that the Morecambe heavyweight has undergone a significant transformation just days after his bout with Usyk.

Jimmy Harrington, a friend of Fury’s, spilled the beans that the ‘Gypsy King’ has now ditched his beard for a clean-shaven look while taking time out with his loved ones. Speaking to Boxing King Media, Harrington confirmed the news, saying: “Yeah, he’s shaved his beard off. He’s obviously back at home in Morecambe now with his family. He’s just doing his day-to-day things… going out for coffee, going out with his family and doing his tips runs as well as getting back into family and father life. He’s been away for three months not seeing his family. He’s just spent Christmas at home and I believe that he’ll spend the New Year’s (Eve) at home and not going away.”

Before the showdown with Usyk, there was much ado about Fury’s beard, with Usyk’s camp insisting that the British fighter trim it before entering the ring. Ultimately, the ‘Gypsy King’ triumphed in retaining his rugged look for the fight. Frank Warren, the promoter for Tyson Fury, spoke to Sky Sports about the upcoming bout, saying: “He has a beard and there’s been a lot of fighters over the years who’ve fought with beards, and that’s it.”

He also disclosed that Oleksandr Usyk wouldn’t be permitted to keep his crucifix, a gift from Greek monks, in his corner during the fight. Usyk had previously attributed part of his inspiration to the cross, which he kissed in their first encounter.

Warren added: “After the fight there was a lot of speculation, they weren’t sure what it was. We just cut through it all. If there’s anything that is used other than water that goes to the fighter’s lips, then the inspector will take it away and hold it and if anything is seen to be not correct then they’ll deal with it, test it, whatever that may be, what they have to do.”
