Princess Kate’s brother James Middleton gives rare insight into festive plans with sisters

The ‘s younger brother has opened up about his festive plans with his two sisters, while he also revealed how the trio make sure their children all bond with each other.

In a new interview with the , the 37-year-old claimed the siblings will always find time for each other during the festive season and gave a rare insight into past family holidays.

He said: “Now we’re adults we always make sure that we spend time as a wider family so that the cousins get to spend time together, .”

Princess Kate is known to be close to her family and siblings, and was evident recently after all at Westminster Abbey earlier this month.

The future Queen shares three children with the Prince of Wales – Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Pippa and her husband James Matthews have also welcomed three children – Arthur, Grace and Rose – while James has welcomed one son, Inigo, with his wife, Alizee Thevenet.

Elsewhere, James reminisced about past holidays with his sisters and claimed that they would always “pack up the car and drive somewhere”.

He claimed the Middleton family were “like something from The Famous Five” and would visit the Cumbrian countryside or the Swiss Alps.

James wrote: “My parents, sisters and I would visit different places in the Swiss Alps each summer, such as Les Masses, or we’d go to Avoriaz in France.

“Dad would find a mountain refuge where we’d have a rather sloppy soup-like meal for tea, but we were so hungry from a day of hiking that it tasted amazing.

“The next day we’d wake up early, put our walking boots back on and continue our trek, ending up in another village.”

He also revealed the family stayed at rented cottages around the Lake District like Coniston Water and Windermere, adding: “It’s a very special place for us as a family”.

James noted: “I can’t wait for Inigo to form those sorts of memories.”
