Referee John Brooks awarded a penalty for Ipswich against Chelsea
The have released a statement after a controversial penalty was awarded in match against on Monday.

The have released a statement to clarify why the decision stood, despite ‘s protests.
The statement read: “The referee’s call of penalty for a foul by Jorgensen on Delap was checked and confirmed by VAR, who deemed there was sufficient contact for a penalty.”
may be aggrieved about the decision and how little time was taken to analyse the penalty incident. VAR incidents will be only be overturned if there is a ‘clear and obvious’ error made by the officials.
