Man charged after nurse attacked, seriously injured at B.C. hospital

A charge of assault causing bodily harm has been laid in the alleged Nov. 20 attack at Eagle Ridge Hospital

A man has been charged with assault after a nurse was attacked at Eagle Ridge Hospital last month..

The nurse was seriously injured in the attack as a patient was being discharged just before noon on Nov. 20, Port Moody police said.

Officers arrested a suspect immediately.

A charge of assault causing bodily harm has been approved by the B.C. Prosecution Service against 41-year-old Shawn Bradley Forsythe of no fixed address, Const. Sam Zacharias said in a statement on Monday.

Forsythe is due in provincial court in Port Coquitlam on Feb. 10.
