The 23-year-old paid the price for early third-round exits at the Australian Open and , while Sabalenka won two Slams in Australia and the US Open, as well as reaching the quarter-finals at Roland Garros.
Swiatek confirmed in October she would be as her new coach and the five-time Major winner has been working hard on the practice court to improve her game.
But she refused to divulge what areas she has been working on when asked by Tennis TV: “You can have your theories!” Swiatek said.
“You know, it’s a secret… we can’t talk on the camera. For sure, getting more variety on the serve and also working on my technique a bit.
“It’s not always about the results, it’s about enhancing the technique and [feeling] a bit more smooth to maintain quality on the court longer because of that.”
Her improvements seem to be taking shape on the court after Swiatek helped Poland record a 2-1 victory over Norway in the United Cup on Monday.

Swiatek needed barely an hour to breeze past the low-ranked Norwegian Malene Helgo 6-1, 6-0, before Casper Ruud beat Hubert Hurkacz to level the tie at one victory apiece.
But in the doubles, Swiatek teamed up with Jan Zielinski to battle past Ulrikke Eikeri and Ruud 6-3, 0-6, 10-8 to clinch the tie for their country.
The pair had been practicing in Sydney together, sparking rumours they would be paired for the doubles, and Swiatek was delighted their work paid off in the main event.
“It’s still the old year, so I’m happy to finish it like that,” Swiatek said.

“I’m really happy that I could play with Jan and show our game.
“It was pretty tight, but I’m happy that at the end we stepped up the level and we finished it so Poland could win.”
The United Cup is the first runout for Swiatek ahead of the busy Australian swing, although it seems she is unlikely to play another event before the Australian Open begins on January 12.
She avoided a warm-up event ahead of the first Slam of the year in Melbourne and bowed out earlier than expected. This time, she will be hoping her extra preparation carries her through unscathed.
