Hilary Swank is giving fans a glimpse into her holiday celebrations with her 1-year-old twins, Aya and Ohm.
The Oscar-winning actor welcomed twins, a girl and a boy, in April 2023 with husband Philip Schneider. Since then, the 50-year-old has rarely posted pictures of her children. She waited almost a year after their birth before she revealed their names and shared the first full photo of them in February.
But on Dec. 29, the proud mom decided to upload a photo to Instagram featuring one of her twin toddlers. In the cute snap, Swank poses in front of a decorated Christmas tree as one of her twins stands behind her, apparently fascinated with an ornament.
“Happy Holidays to you all,” the “Million Dollar Baby” star wrote in the caption.
She continued, “So grateful for this community. Wishing everyone a restful and restorative time, as best as possible anyway, as we all navigate all we juggle.”
Swank said that during this hectic time of the year, she feels a special kinship with other caregivers who have to juggle different responsibilities.
The actor also acknowledged “anyone navigating loss in any way.”
“Grieving is hard work, especially this time of year,” she added. “Massive love to you all.”
The post marked Swank’s first photo of one of her twins since she shared an adorable snap of the brother and sister enjoying a day at the beach on Valentine’s Day. In the caption, she publicly announced their names for the first time. “I figured what better day to share the names of my two little loves with you all first,” she wrote, in part.
A couple days later, Swank also released a sweet photo of her holding Aya and Ohm to accompany a press release revealing her as the chief innovation officer of the baby care brand HealthyBaby.
The “Freedom Writers” star later opened up about motherhood and raising twins in an interview with TODAY.com in February.
“It’s double the love, double the joy, double the exhaustion,” she explained at the time.
She said she didn’t know if she would find her soulmate until she met husband Schneider, whom she married in 2018. Now, the couple have built a family of four together.
