The puppies were just five weeks old
A family is “devastated” after seven lurcher puppies were in Dorset just days after Christmas.
The are still missing, but a 28-year-old man from East Dorset and a 22-year-old woman from Wimborne have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
Just five weeks old, the family based in Shroton, , are deeply concerned about their pets’ wellbeing as they are still feeding from their mother.
Police Constable Sebastian Haggett, of Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, said: “These puppies are only five weeks old and are still reliant on their mother to feed and survive so we are keen to reunite them.
“The family involved in this reported theft are devastated and we wish to do all we can to get these family pets home.”
Constable Haggett is appealing for information, particularly about the activity of a white Audi A1 that was seen in the vicinity.

Entry was reportedly gained to the building in the Shroton area between 10.50pm and 11.10pm on Saturday 28 December 2024.
Police are urging residents to come forward if they have any doorbell or CCTV footage from that time, or any motorists who drove through with dashcam footage.
Dorset shared an image of the puppies to encourage anyone who has seen them for sale in unusual circumstances to come forward.
Police also encourage anyone with information or anyone who recognises the puppies in the photo to contact them.
