are urgently searching for a woman who they say was dragged back into a car and “assaulted” after attempting to escape early on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 6:03am at the crossroads of Rostherne Road and Garners Lane in .
Witnesses reported seeing the woman, described as white and wearing dark leggings and UGG boots, trying to exit a dark-coloured hatchback before being forcibly pulled back inside.

have released CCTV stills of the car they believe is involved and are appealing to the public for help in finding the woman and the driver, described as a white man wearing a black coat or jumper.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: “We have been conducting house-to-house inquiries and reviewing CCTV and dashcam footage since the report, but so far, these efforts have not helped us locate the woman or the driver.
“At the centre of this is potentially a woman who is in need of urgent safeguarding or medical care, and we need to locate her as soon as possible.”
Police are urging anyone who saw the incident or who has information about the car or its occupants to come forward.

Two still images from CCTV footage near the crossroads of Rostherne Road and Garners Lane have been released to assist the investigation.
