breakfast presenter Stephen Dixon was flooded with support as he issued an update on his hosting duties during the festive period.

He took a break during Christmas and Boxing Day, with the show being led by Patrick Christys and Emily Carver, but confirmed he will be back on screens next week.

He posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Enjoying a few more days off, and lie in, then back to work on Tuesday for the last Breakfast Show of the year!”

His GB News colleagues were quick to share their support, as broadcaster Paula London simply wrote: “Enjoy!”

Regular GB News police commentator British Outback Cop penned: “Have a lovely new year, Stephen to you and yours from all of mine. Look forward to our next policing segment together. Best wishes, Oli.”

Isabel is being replaced by Ellie Costello, who will now host the GB News breakfast news show alongside Eamonn Holmes from Monday to Wednesday, and then Eamonn will be replaced by Stephen.

Former Sky News presenter Isabel is yet to respond to the news, but Eamonn issued a sweet goodbye to his co-star on Twitter/X, simply replying to a post about her departure with “Goodbye my girl”.

The changes to the presenting line-up are expected to happen in the first week of January.

Meanwhile, fans of the show quickly rushed to the post to respond to Stephen’s update, as one said: “Enjoy. I hope on Tuesday you are with Ellie for a last breakfast show of 2024 to bring smile and happiness to all who watch it with your great chemistry.”

Another agreed: “Glad you had a lovely break, we’ve loyally stuck with GB Breakfast without you, all be it hard work… Happy New Year Guys , 2025.”

Stephen’s post comes after GB News had a presenting shake-up, saying goodbye to presenters Mark Dolan and Isabel Webster.
