Mike Brewer has selected his best second hand used cars
star Mike Brewer has revealed the best second-hand used cars on the market with one brand coming out on top.
Nissan’s popular Qashqai secured the top prize with the SUV still the best all-rounder on the market.
Mike got behind the wheel of award-winning models which he helped select as part of the judging panel.
The Qashqai was followed with some stellar pics with models from , Land Rover, and also making the cut.

Nissan Qashqai
The car that started the SUV craze in the UK is still considered the car buyers with the model scoping the ‘Used Car of the Year’ prize.
Described as a “jack of all trades” machine ideal for families, in UK cities with models flying off the shelves.
The model also scooped Car Dealer Magazine’s used Mid-Size Car of the Year award with Mike praising the British-built model for its revolutionary impact.
He said: “What a car it is, they are just uber reliable, really handsome these days, they’ve come a long way in terms of their styling. They are so practical. It’s a car that sort of does everything.”
Vauxhall Corsa
Mike said the model has that “big car feel”, praising it for plenty of space in the cabin with a multi-functional steering wheel for drivers with a packed infotainment system.
The Wheeler Dealers’ state claimed on the inside but defended Vauxhall with the brand of targeting the premium car sector.
You can buy it across multiple powertrains with petrol, diesel and electric options now available. He also highlighted that accessibility was crucial with various models available.
He said: “You can really get going with this little car. See, it puts a smile on my face And that’s why, we, me and the judges love the little Corsa and that’s why it’s our winner of the Best Small Car.”

Land Rover Defender
Mike praised Land Rover for doing a “cracking job” with their Defender model which picked up the Best Luxury Vehicle award earlier this year.
Mike admitted he ran one of these cars last winter and admitted he felt “very special” behind the wheel.
He said: “It just gets you down the road nice and comfy and makes you feel very important, I dare say there’s not a single five-star hotel anywhere across the lad that wouldn’t be proud to park this right outside the front.”
Audi’s RS4 can reach a whopping 186mph

Mike as one of the “most dynamic performance cars” he has ever driven. The stunning model certainly packs a punch with 400bhp generating a top speed of 186mph.
The machine, which secured the Used Performance Car of the Year award, can reach 0-60mph in 3.7 seconds.
Mike added: “See you Ferrari in my rear-view mirror. I love it in the mid-range this car is so good. It pushes you in the back of your chair and makes you feel a little bit queasy in the stomach. It really does play around with your internal organs this car. Which is the bit about it I love.”
Toyota Yaris
Mike described the Yaris as a “little executive express” as he praised the Used AFV Car of the Year winner for an interior packed full of technology.
All of the tools available in the bigger Prius are fitted in the Yaris making this almost the “best of both worlds”.
He said: “Being a Toyota you know it’s going to be uber reliable, it’s going to have a really good warranty and they fly off the forecourts.”
