Prince Harry fell out with an actor after a press conference
ended his friendship with a famous actor who he believes breached his privacy during a press conference.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, became friends with The Crown actor Dominic West, who plays Harry’s dad King Charles III in the series, after they took part in an adventurous journey through Antarctica with injured military veterans as part of the charity event Walking With the Wounded in 2013.
While the pair became good friends, a press conference held in January 2014 to share the experiences of the charity expedition , despite the fact Dominic West was complimentary of the prince.
, Dominic revealed during the press conference that Harry, who he called a “fantastically nice chap”, was involved in some shenanigans during the charity trip.
This reportedly involved the prince drinking champagne out of Duncan Slater’s prosthetic leg when the marathon polar challenge ended. Dominic also addressed the prince’s sense of humour, which he said could be rude.

Dominic said: “He would often reach the meeting point before the rest of his men and would build these incredibly lavish, castellated latrines, with battlements and loo roll holders.
“It must have taken him 40 minutes at least to build, they were just fabulous. I would often sit on the latrine thinking ‘this is a royal flush in every way!’”
Talking about the prince, Dominic also said: “Well he told some eye-wateringly rude jokes which for a non-soldier like me was pretty shocking.”
While many believed the pair were still close, with Harry reportedly being a viewer of The Crown series, Dominic said that they ended up losing touch.

Dominic West met Harry on a charity walk
During a chat on Times Radio’s “Sunday Morning”, he said: “We sort of [lost touch because] I said too much in a press conference, and so, we didn’t speak after that.
“I think I was asked what we did. [And] what we did to celebrate when we got there and [I] probably said too much.”
Despite the fact they are no longer friends, Dominic once described the prince as a “really cool guy” who was “very much part of the team” during the charity expedition.
It is not known when the pair last spoke to one another.
