One-time world champion Jacques Villeneuve has been mocked on social media after some fans noticed that a link on his profile accidentally directs to a pornographic website.Villeneuve, who regularly appears as a pundit on , has over 26,000 followers on his X (formerly Twitter) account. He has not posted since 2015 and his profile appears to be in dire need of updating.There is a link in his bio which is intended to direct users to his old website, but the page is no longer active. The web address is now linked to a porn site, which opens when it is clicked.The same link features in Villeneuve’s most recent post, which is supposed to be a story on his former website announcing that he would be racing in Formula E for the 2015/16 season.

It was noticed by several users, with @sinnerenjoyer posting: “Do NOT open the link in Jacques Villeneuve’s bio I’m not joking save yourselves.”@oscarollie8187 replied: “I thought you were joking and checked, I regret my action.” @ricciardoswrist added: “I should’ve stayed curious, the way the smile faded on my face.”Some fans offered up potential explanations, with @dangi1e commenting: “I think it’s because the website ownership expired and someone else bought it maybe?” @aasfi95 added: “Okay, so that website was taken over or hacked.”Others urged people to let Villeneuve know what the link redirects to, with @Luv4EstieBestie saying: “Okay but why is no one telling him?”
