is set to welcome a new family that promises to stir up drama on the cobbles, it has been confirmed.
The iconic ITV soap has seen numerous families, from the Platts to the Barlows, make Weatherfield their home and win over the hearts of its dedicated fanbase.
Now, a fresh addition is poised to “cause a lot of damage and chaos”. In an interview with Plymouth Live, ‘s new boss Kate Brooks introduced the newcomers: “They are Mick and Lynn, they are coming to live at the back of Chesney’s [Brown].”
She added: “They are livewires, they are ruffians and they are going to cause a lot of damage and chaos. There is a link to Chesney initially, but they are coming to stir up a lot of trouble.”
She also warned that they’re set to “cause a lot of damage and chaos”, reports Plymouth Live.

Initially linked to Chesney, the couple, who have children, will “develop a friendship with Chesney and Gemma”. However, Brooks hinted at more layers to their story, stating: “There are other things to unpack.”
The arrival of this new family is expected to unsettle many, including one resident in particular – corrupt police officer Kit Green (Jacob Roberts). Brooks revealed: “They are also coming to open up the floodgates and unpack the past of one of our big characters, which is Kit [Green].”

Kate labelled the new family as “neighbours from hell”, characterising them as bringing “coming in with oodles of drama”. However, she clarified that they are not entirely villainous.
She elaborated: “They have got a charm to them as well, they are not just inherently unlikeable characters, they have got a charisma they’ve got charm. But they just do and say things that you shouldn’t say or do! ” Kate further warned: “I wouldn’t get on the wrong side of them though, especially Mick.
“They are coming to cause some chaos on the street, and there will be a trail of devastation let’s just say.” Regarding their anticipated arrival on screen, Kate disclosed it would be around February.
