After all, the British can be a little depressing, and sometimes the feeling of the sun on your skin can make you feel so much better. One man who took the plunge and packed his bags is Frank, aka frankthestagman on .
The bar owner often shares updates from as he organises stag and hen parties at the party hotspot. But even though some people label the destination as a cheap and cheerful place to have some fun in the sun, he thinks there’s a lot more to it.
In a candid video, he explained the simple reason why he likes living there. It may seem an odd choice to some, but he believes the location offers quite a lot to expats.
While certain things may come to mind when you think of Benidorm, he paints a totally different picture of what life is like at the Spanish resort. Everyone’s experiences are different after all.

Frank said: “Is Benidorm the best place in the world? Well, who knows, because everyone’s got a different idea of what the best place in the world is, but what I do know is this is where I live.
“I live here, I can do this every single day of the week. Every day of the week I can do this, every night of the week I can do this. I can walk along these beaches, I can have fun in all these brilliant bars.
“Not just my own bar, I go to other people’s as well. I support other people, but I can do this every single day of the week. Look at this, look at the beach – isn’t it beautiful?”
When he turns the camera around to show people what he sees, you can see the sun is shining and the area is bustling. He said he understands why people love visiting as, whatever people think of the area, it offers an “escape”.

The video has been viewed dozens of times since it was shared, and people aren’t afraid to share their thoughts about Benidorm under Frank’s clips.
One person replied with sarcasm, writing: “Omg. The best place in the world.” Another wrote: “Yes it is for a two hour flight.”
A third also said: “Priceless.” Meanwhile, a fourth didn’t agree, adding: “Nah, Thailand.”
Another viewer of Frank’s previous video said he thinks Benidorm is like “Blackpool in the sun”, while others praised how sunny the weather looks during the festive season.
It’s clear people’s views on what makes a holiday, or nice place to live, vary, but some people are keen on visiting. Someone else chimed in with: “Can’t wait. 29th for me and hubby – weather looks fab!”
