“However, the snow event, while it will affect some parts of England and Wales, Scotland will get a lion’s share of the white stuff.

The reports that the week leading up to New Year’s Day will bring cloudy and mild conditions for much of the UK, with patches of mist, fog, and rain expected in England and Wales on Friday, December 27.

However, colder, brighter weather with blustery showers is set to follow as the rain clears southeastward on Saturday, December 28.

Looking ahead, hill snow is predicted to develop in northern areas on Sunday and Monday, adding to the wintry feel as the New Year approaches.

Early projections indicate that heavy snowfall will sweep across the British Isles, affecting much of England, Scotland, and Wales.

The advises staying updated with the latest forecasts and preparing for potential disruptions in areas expected to face significant snowfall.
