Drivers on the M5 have been warned they could see long delays after two crashes on Friday.

One of the crashes at occurred at J16 A38 Gloucester Road (Aztec West), leading to the M5 Southbound being partially blocked, with queueing traffic.

A second M5 crash on the Northbound look place at J20 B3133 Ettlingen Way (Clevedon), which is also partially blocked, with traffic queuing up.

The nature of the two incidents and the number of vehicles involved is not yet known.

All lanes open on A30 eastbound after collision

Elsewhere, all lanes on the A30 eastbound between the B3260 Okehampton west and the B3260 Okehampton are now operational east following a collision, National Highways says.

Drivers have been told to “allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 30 mins and approx. 2 miles of congestion remain”.

Motorists on the M5 in Devon face delays of 45+ minutes above normal travel times in both directions “due to the long-term roadworks”, National Highways: South-West has warned in its latest update on X.

A contraflow system in place between J28 Cullompton and J26 Wellington, it added.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
