Khloé Kardashian has revealed the “really scary” reason she had to miss her family’s annual Christmas party.
On Thursday, the mom-of-two shared on her Instagram Stories that her children, True and Tatum, whom she shares with ex Tristan Thompson, had both fallen ill before the gathering.
Kardashian gave birth to daughter True in April 2018, In August 2022, she and Thompson welcomed son Tatum via surrogate.
Kardashian explained that Tatum was “super sick the weekend before” but began feeling “great” by Christmas Eve. However, True was too sick to join her family in ringing in the holiday due to having a fever.
Kardashian said on Instagram that True had developed a high fever. “It was really scary. It was horrible,” but she added that now True is feeling better, People magazine reported on her Instagram Story.
In her message, she told her 305 million-plus followers that the holiday “was a great one for sure, but different.”
Kardashian said that although this year’s shindig was just her family “hanging out” at sister Kendall Jenner’s house, according to Us Weekly, it was still a “bummer” to miss out on the fun.
“I didn’t get to make it to the Christmas Eve party, which was a bummer,” she added in her Instagram Stories. “I missed being with my family.”
Despite True’s fever, Kardashian said she was still able to spend time at her mom Kris Jenner’s house “because we still wanted to be around the Christmas spirit.”
Kardashian said “poor thing” True wound up sleeping in another room while she whipped up breakfast.
Elsewhere in her update, the Good American clothing company founder said that she and her little ones opened presents from Santa the day after Christmas since True was too sick on Christmas Day.

“We’re doing Santa toys today because she just wasn’t in the mood yesterday,” Kardashian said. “Poor thing, that’s when you know your kid is sick, when Santa toys don’t even excite them.”
“I’m so happy she’s feeling better,” she added. “I just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, because I wasn’t really able to do so yesterday.”
