The 1% Club contestant Colin admitted that he was ’embarrassed’ to be kicked off after the first question.
On The 1% Club Christmas special, one contestant was left blushing after being the single person eliminated for a wrong first answer.
The show, hosted by the quick-witted Lee Mack, featured festive questions and competitors decked out in holiday attire.
In the opening round, the contestants were tasked with identifying whether an image depicted more elves or reindeers behind a fence.
Colin found himself isolated after guessing incorrectly alongside the majority who chose elves.
An embarrassed Colin admitted on camera: “I don’t know what to say, I am embarrassed.”
Attempting to offer solace, Lee Mack responded, “You don’t have to be embarrassed, it is easily done,” but Colin lamented, “I can’t believe I’ve done this on telly. I’ve done it now”, reports .

The incident shocked viewers at home, sparking reactions on social media with comments like, “How did anyone in the history of this planet get it wrong? “, while others joked, “Colin never gonna live that down”.

Subsequently, jovial interactions continued as Lee chatted with Ray Johnson, who had dressed up as Santa Claus and correctly resolved the earlier question.
The interview kicked off with a comical blunder as the host accidentally addressed Ray as Colin, saying: “So tell me if you win, what are you going to do with the money Colin? No, Ray, sorry.”
Camera angles quickly switched, capturing Colin’s reaction. Lee couldn’t resist a jibe, remarking sarcastically: “‘Oh yeah bring up Colin again, thanks, cheers mate.”
“‘They’d forgotten about me but now they’ve remembered. Oh, another close-up. Great Lee.'”.
To conclude their exchange, Lee sheepishly apologised: “So sorry Colin”.
Despite the mishap, Colin responded with a light-hearted laugh before the presenter moved on to chat with another contestant who bore a striking resemblance to Santa Claus.
