The final ever episode of the beloved sitcom aired on Christmas Day, with viewers tuning in after five years to find out if Smithy (James Corden) accepted Nessa’s (Ruth Jones) proposal.

However, others agreed with the 51-year-old as one said: “So pleased I didn’t watch it. Never seen any of the previous either. There was a lot of dross on TV last night.”
