Baby Driver star Hudson Joseph Meek has died aged just 16 after falling from a moving vehicle.
The young star, who appeared alongside Lily James and Ansel Elgort in the 2017 hit film, died in Alabama last week, sufering blunt force injuries when he fell on Canyon Road in Vestavia Hills on December 19.
He was taken to UAB Hospital but sadly died from his injuries two days later on December 21, at around 8pm.
Hudson’s death was announced on , with his family sharing: “Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight.
“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met.”

The post added: “Specific details regarding a Celebration of Hudson’s Life to be held on December 28, as well as how to contribute to a scholarship in Hudson’s memory at Vestavia Hills High School in lieu of flowers, will follow.”Please pray for Hudson’s family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss.”
A further post confirmed: “A Celebration of Life service will be live-streamed Saturday December 28th at 11:30 am (Central).”

Hudson played the Young Baby in Baby Driver, along with landing roles in everything from 2018’s MacGyver to 2023 TV series Found. His last project was 2024’s The School Duel, in which he played Sirius.
Tributes have been pouring in for the young star online, with one fan writing: “Sending love, hugs and my condolences to family and friends. May The Lord comfort your hearts in your time of sorrow.”
Another echoed: “I’m so so sorry for your loss. My condolences to the family. praying God’s grace, strength and comfort over your lives. In Jesus’ name May he rest in peace.”
And somebody else posted: “So tragic god bless you Hudson taken way too soon.”
