‘s followers have offered their support to the presenter after she posted a video to her 1.1 million followers admitting she was behind on her prep.
In the video clip she was wearing a curler in her hair as she stood in her stylish kitchen talking to camerawhile her beloved dog Maggie lazed in the background.
“Last Christmas Eve, I think I was standing in the kitchen like this with a roller in my hair, talking about last minute things and how come I’m never organised and have everything done,” she reflected.
“Like there are people that are going to Carol services tonight and pantos – everything’s done and I haven’t got everything done.
“And my mum, my mum, is in the hospital, to be fair, and I’ve been doing a lot of hospital visiting, but that’s no excuse, because, you know, I’ve had all year to prep,” she pondered.

Holding up a parcel she admitted she was still wrapping presents and had “some bits and bobs to do”.
Her caption on the post also reflected the last minute nature of some of her preparations. “Christmas Eve in the kitchen again!! Roller in the fringe trying to get everything finished! Happy Christmas everyone!” she wrote.
“Merry Christmas Ruth . I hope your mum gets better soon. Enjoy your day xx,” one commented. “Wishing you and your lovely mum a very Happy Christmas. Prayers for her recovery x,” another said.
A third added: “Merry Christmas Ruth And Your Gorgeous Mummy Lots of Love To You Both Hoping Mummy Gets Out If Hospital Really Soon.”
