was spotted in smart trousers during this morning’s Christmas Day walkabout instead of the traditional pair of shorts royal youngsters usually wear.
The six-year-old was spotted alongside his mother Princess Kate and his older siblings and . The children sweetly waved to members of the public who stepped out to greet them on the chilly morning.
Royal tradition usual dictates that boys under seven must be wear shorts when attending public engagements. But it appears his parents are taking a more relaxed appraoch to protocol, as Louis wore trousers last Christmas as well.

It is believed that the Royal Family have already exchanged their gifts for one another on Christmas Eve, in a nod to their German heritage.
Their day will be followed by a sit-down formal black-tie dinner this afternoon, and they will get stuck into the festivities.
As reported by male children in the Royal Family typically tend to wear suits from the age of seven and then they can wear formal trousers to public events.
British etiquette coach William Hanson chatted to the publication back in 2018. He explained: “Today, young boys usually transition into trousers around age seven.”
