The festive season is set to be sweetened with the return of The Great Christmas Bake Off, and fans are eager to know when the new celebrity contestants will “get ready, set, bake”.
As memories of summer and Georgie Gasso’s triumph in The Great British Bake Off fade, excitement builds for the yuletide edition of the show.
With a mix of deliciously themed winter bakes and the judges’ signature saucy quips, there’s much anticipation for the Channel 4 family favourite.

The countdown to The Great Christmas Bake Off is almost at an end, with the series premiering on Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, at 8pm on Channel 4.
Viewers can look forward to a second helping with a New Year 2024 special, scheduled for Friday, January 3, 2025, at 7.40pm on Channel 4.

The Great Christmas Bake Off cast
The first episode airing on Christmas Eve will feature soap opera favourites showcasing their culinary prowess.
‘ Natalie Cassidy and Dean Gaffney will face off, alongside ‘s Shobna Gulati and ‘s Chris Bisson and Sheree Murphy.
Meanwhile, the New Year’s special will see a reunion of past Bake Off contestants.
Competing in this episode will be Lee Harris from the inaugural season, James Morton of season three, Norman Calder from season five, Peter Sawkins of series 11, Kevin Flynn from the 13th series, and Nicky Laceby who gained recognition in season 14.

Alison Hammond and Noel Fielding will return to host the festive specials of The Great Christmas Bake Off, with Paul and Prue Leith reprising their roles as the show’s resident experts.
The first episode of The Great Christmas Bake Off will air on Christmas Eve at 8pm, followed by the second episode on January 3 at 7.40pm, both on Channel 4.
For those who miss the live broadcast, the episodes will also be available on Channel 4’s catch-up service, All4.
