viewers were gutted as the celebrity panel missed out on an eye-watering cash prize.
Monday’s instalment (December 23) of the programme saw presenter welcome four famous stars who hoped to win some money for charity.
First airing in 2021, the festive edition featured Kate Silverton, Ruthie Henshall, Iain Sterling and Reverend Richard Coles, who each took on a different chaser.
Former presenter Kate was first up and she was greeted with Anne Hegerty in the form of Morticia Adams. The 54-year-old answered four questions correctly in the cash builder and became the first contestant through to the final chase.
Up next was Reverend Richard, who left his co-stars gobsmacked with his impressive knowledge. After answering eight questions correctly, the star’s teammates urged him to take the high offer of £90,000, aware he was more than capable.

However, Shaun Wallace was on top form and caught the 62-year-old before he could make it back.
The third contestant to play was actress and singer Ruthie. The 57-year-old approached the head-to-head with £3,000, however, Richard’s performance left her wary.
With Jenny Ryan putting a low offer of £1,000 on the table, Ruthie found it too hard to resist. She made it back to the final chase, taking the team’s overall total to £5,000.
The final player to take on a chaser was Love Island’s Iain Stirling. The 36-year-old answered four questions correctly before going up against Paul Sinha.

Ruthie told Mark how she really felt
Wanting to make it worth his while, Paul offered Iain the chance to play for a staggering £175,000. And after a nail-biting head-to-head, the comedian managed to make it through to the final chase, with the team now playing for a whopping £180,000.
The final chase saw the trio take on Mark Labbett. They answered 15 questions correctly, however, it was no match for The Beast as he caught them with 35 seconds remaining.
After Bradley took the £180,000 away from the team, a furious Ruthie didn’t shy away from saying how she really felt.
Pointing at Mark, she fumed: “I don’t like you.”
Mark laughed as he responded: “I’m sorry you don’t like me, Ruthie, because I’m your next co-star in Shrek the Musical.”
Despite the loss, the three celebrities walked away with £1,000 for their chosen charities.
