star Daisy Campbell’s next role is the lead in a proof of concept production for a new show called Storm, it has been revealed.
The 21-year-old, who played Amelia Spencer on the ITV soap, excitedly announced her collaboration with production company Rocking Horse Media on after her final episode of the soap aired. “2025 is going to be a very exciting year for myself working with Rocking Horse Media,” she announced to her 84,500 followers.
She had previously teased a new project confessing to Ranvir Singh on : “I didn’t expect to work until next year because it’s so close to . I’ve never been or done anything else. I’m new to the industry basically outside of soap. I excitedly filmed something a few weeks ago, which comes out next summer.”
The young star will head up the cast of the show, which producers hope will be picked up by a broadcaster. Daisy follows in the footsteps of another alum
The Shropshire-based production company have attracted big names for their projects in the past but it is the first time someone of Daisy’s star power has taken a lead role for them.

“It’s a sea change,“ explained the writer and producer of the project, Gareth Owain David Thomas. “We’ve had top talents before but the difference with Daisy is previously our bigger, active TV stars were never our lead. They’d come in on a short term basis and go again. But to attract a working TV actor in the main role is a huge step forward for us.”
Daisy landed the role of Amelia on at the age of seven in 2011 and appeared in over 200 episodes during her 13-year tenure on the show.

In an emotional post, she has confirmed 2024 has been the “hardest” year for her. She wrote: “13 whole years of Amelia Spencer! It’s been the hardest year of my life saying goodbye to Amelia and words cannot suffice how much this job has truly meant to me.
“Coming into the Dales and playing Amelia as a baby to now ending her journey there as an adult is the biggest blessing so far in my career. has not just been my job, but my home and education.
