star Daisy Campbell has found love just days after her final episode of the soap aired.
Daisy played Amelia Spencer for more than a decade, but soap writers axed her after there was nowhere left to take the character – with her dad behind bars and her mum dead. Despite only recently welcoming a baby and then getting involved with abuser Tom King, it was the end of the road for Amelia.
Now, however, Daisy is looking on the bright side – and she’s all loved up.
The actress confirmed she “couldn’t be happier” after finding love with a boy she knew at school. She told The Sun: “Finding love just happens when you don’t expect it. I first met Nick at school – he was a couple of years above me.
“It’s been a tough year. But now this has come out of the blue and I couldn’t be happier.”

Before falling in love with Nick, Daisy confessed she was never sure if boys were interested because of who she was or for her fame. She said: “I do get a few boys chatting me up, I think everyone does when you’re out with your friends.
“And it’s a natural thing to worry that they’re only coming up to you because you’re on the TV. But I just want to concentrate on work at the minute, that’s my main focus. I’m a bit of a workaholic.”
Daisy said leaving wasn’t her decision, explaining on ITV’s : “I definitely felt hurt, taken aback, really. Just shocked, like I couldn’t stop shaking. But you know, time’s passed – I got on with the storyline, put everything in that I could because it was my last.

“It’s been a difficult year; I think I’ve always taken pride in this job. Obviously, it’s not just been my home but it’s where I’ve learnt my craft and it’s something I’m going to take on with me what I’ve learnt into other jobs.
“So it was at the beginning of the year, I didn’t see it coming. It’s been a really tough year but I’ve done loads of work on myself and put myself first. But I definitely feel like I’m finally in a place where I’ve healed.”
