While some individuals enjoy the experience of wrapping Christmas gifts, others find it a daunting task, especially when confronted with limited wrapping paper supplies.their wrapping supplies are running low.
As Christmas gets nearer, lots of us are left with miscellaneous patterns of wrapping paper that are either too small or irregularly shaped to be of use. Fortunately, there is an easy way to use these scraps.
Nikki, the , boasts an impressive following of over 392,600 on , where she shares her expertise on gift wrapping and offers valuable tips for refining your skills.
In a video posted on December 13, she revealed the ultimate hack for maximising the use of wrapping paper rolls by cleverly wrapping a gift using smaller pieces of paper.

Nikki used four scraps of distinctive patterned wrapping paper to create a visually striking gift while wrapping a square-shaped box for a pair of Apple headphones.
To try this at home, you simple need four pieces of scrap wrapping paper and some tape. Nikki opted for double-sided tape, but standard tape works equally well. Nikkie began by cutting a piece of wrapping paper into a rectangular shape, just enough to cover half the front and half the back of the box.
With double-sided tape adorning each side of the paper, she folded it around the gift much like any traditional wrap. Then, she introduced a second piece of paper with a contrasting design.

Sticking this to the top of one edge of the base layer, Nikki extended the coverage to the next corner of the present, neatly tucking in the edges. The crafty lady then secured this layer firmly with tape before repeating the process for the next corner using a third piece of paper, ensuring it was slightly smaller to cut down on excess.
Once all sides were concealed and fastened with tape both top and bottom, Nikki folded the final sliver of paper over the first side she had wrapped. Displaying her one-of-a-kind wrapped gift at the video’s conclusion, all four corners showed different patterns for a unique look.
Fans of the video lavished praise upon Nikki for her innovative technique, noting especially how ideal it was for using up those small scraps.
A viewer suggested: “It would look so good with a red ribbon wrapped around separating the pieces and tied with a bow! ” Nikki responded: “I couldn’t decide on a colour of ribbon so I didn’t add one”.
While certainly requiring more effort than simply dropping the gift into a bag, Nikki’s method brilliantly reduces the waste associated with discarding those odd bits of wrapping paper.
In the long term, it should also save you money as it prevents you from needlessly buying more rolls.
