TV star ‘s wife Lisa Faulkner, the culinary queen from show John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen, is set to dazzle in ‘s new adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel, Missing You. The actress will take on the role of Dana Fells in what promises to be a riveting suspense thriller.
Joining her in this stellar lineup are Rosalind Eleazar, Jessica Plummer, Richard Armitage, Lenny Henry, and Steve Pemberton, all coming aboard following the triumph of Fool Me Once, which featured Michelle Keegan and Joanna Lumley.
Filming is underway across the UK, with cameras rolling at Le Mans Crescent and Victoria Square in Bolton, as well as the bustling streets of centre. Audiences can anticipate the series’ debut on towards the end of 2024 or possibly in early 2025.
In an exclusive chat with Express.co.uk, 52 year old Lisa shared her enthusiasm: “I’m really excited about it. I don’t know what else I’m allowed to say because it’s quite scary working for because they say, ‘No, you can’t say this and you can’t say that’, But yeah, I’m really excited.”

Lisa praised the scripts for the upcoming series, modestly noting her part is small but her excitement is huge: “The scripts are brilliant, I have a small part, but I am really excited about doing it. The book is really good, and I think the series will be brilliant.”
With a career spanning back to the early 1990s, Lisa has graced our screens in The Lover (1992), Spooks (2002), Holby City (1999-2001), (2017), and most recently Waterloo Road (2022).
Lisa Faulkner, now wed to MasterChef’s John Torode, had put her acting career on pause to focus on raising her daughter Billie, 18, whom she adopted with former husband Chris Coghill.
With her daughter now grown up, Lisa is eager to return to the spotlight, stating: “I really want to keep acting. As my daughter gets older, it’s easier to be able to go out and do stuff so it is really exciting.”

The couple, who first crossed paths on Celebrity MasterChef in 2010, sealed their love in matrimony in 2019. They’ve since become a culinary duo, presenting shows like John and Lisa’s Weekend and John and Lisa’s Food Trip Down Under.
At the Ideal Home Show, John, aged 58, expressed his enthusiasm for Lisa’s acting resurgence: “It’s great that Lisa is getting to go back and do what she loves.”
He continued with a chuckle, “She absolutely loves cooking, but she is an amazing actress so I’m looking forward to seeing her back on the screen. I can’t wait, I’ll be able to say, ‘Ooh yeah, I fancy her’, and it will be alright! “.
