In a unique tribute, the choir surprised visitors with an original song, ‘A Christmas Carol’, which joyfully recounted memorable Christmas moments from ’s history – from Hilda Ogden’s emotional farewell to festive family revelations in the Webster household.

Helen Ijichi, who was a part of the choir and a huge fan of the show, explained how much the opportunity meant to them. They said: “I’m such a big fan.

“I love the characters, storylines and how they touch our everyday lives. It was a real honour to be picked to take part. I visited with my son for a tour a long time ago but to revisit to be part of the magic and perform on the iconic set was truly special.”

Sue Hopper, another choir participant, added: “It’s so exciting to have been a part of it. It was so joyful as it is at every Rock Choir event and walking in the footsteps of so many famous characters made it such a unique experience.”
