The slide swept away the home of David and Barbara Enns, long-time Lions Bay residents who were identified by family.

Squamish RCMP say the body of the second victim of the landslide in Lions Bay was recovered Saturday about 5:30 p.m.

The search for the body had resumed Wednesday following the fatal landslide that swept away a house in Lions Bay Dec. 14.

The search had been called off because of safety concerns.

The slide swept away the home of David and Barbara Enns, long-time Lions Bay residents who were identified by family. The body of David Enns was found Dec. 15.

The slide had occurred on Highway 99 beside the Brunswick Road exit ramp and spilled across the busy Sea to Sky Highway and down to Howe Sound, carrying with it mud, rocks and trees during the windstorm that hit the South Coast.
