Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to share a whopping £150million tonight as they face off for the second time in seven months. The boxing titans will reignite their rivalry, much to the delight of boxing enthusiasts, in an early Christmas treat.

Usyk is aiming to secure a 2-0 lead in the series after becoming the first man to defeat the ‘Gypsy King’ in a professional bout back in May, clinching a split decision victory in Riyadh. However, Fury is seeking revenge this time around, hoping to avoid consecutive defeats for the first time in his professional career.

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are set to lock horns again on December 21 with the Brit attempting to avenge his defeat by the Ukrainian in May.

Given that both men are among the biggest names in the sport, it’s no surprise that they’re set to pocket millions. It was reported that the total purse for their initial showdown in May was approximately £116m, with Fury taking home roughly 70 per cent of that.

As they gear up for the blockbuster sequel, both fighters are once again set to be handsomely rewarded for their efforts in the ring. While Fury received a larger sum a few months ago, it’s believed that the pair will evenly split the total fight purse this time around, each taking home £75m. This may come as a surprise to many boxing fans considering the ‘Gypsy King’ is the challenger on Saturday night.

The atmosphere intensified last night when Tyson Fury, the ‘Gypsy King’, unleashed a barrage of expletives at Oleksandr Usyk after an electrifying 11-minute staredown. Both heavyweights had kept the hostilities to a minimum throughout the week, but that restraint vanished as Fury exploded into a vulgar tirade, prompting officials to step in and separate the two fighters.

Fury, aged 36, raged: “He’s getting f***ed, I was 50 per cent last time, you were the best you’ve ever been and you still couldn’t do s***. You couldn’t do f*** all. Don’t you be afraid you rabbit looking f***er. I won’t leave you alone. You ugly little b******. I’m butchering you. You are going to wake up in the hospital you clown. You got a gift decision you clown. I’m the man, I’m the f***ing champion. You ugly rat b******. You are a rat. I’ll beat you seven days a week.”

In contrast, Usyk responded coolly, merely advising Fury “not to be afraid” and vowing that he “wouldn’t leave him alone”. This fiery exchange came hot on the heels of Fury’s previous comments at a press conference, where he forewarned Usyk about the pain ahead, stating: “I’m going to dish out a lot of pain, put this f***er in the hurt locker for sure. I’ve got nothing to say apart from there will be a whole lot hurt and pain. The talking is done. The first fight I talked, I joked. All my career. This time I’m serious and I’m going to do some damage.”
