A new study has revealed the in the UK during 2024, with a UK-made topping the list.

According to a report by , the most commonly leased car during 2024 was the Nissan Qashqai, the company’s that has been built since 2006.
Now in its third generation, which was introduced in 2021, the Qashqai is widely praised for its attractive styling, easy ability to drive, and offering a surprising amount of refinement and technology for the money.
The Qashqai, which is built in Nissan’s Sunderland plant, is also a for motorists buying a new car outright, ranking third in the best-sellers list for January to November 2024.

However, not all motorists who leased a new car in 2024 opted for a large family model, with Nationwide Vehicle Contracts’ study finding that the Peugeot 208 ranked second.
Added to the range in 2019, the second-generation Peugeot 208 is an attractive supermini available with a wide range of petrol and electric powertrains.
The model was recently overhauled, with a sharper, colour-coded grille, and the all-electric e208 now having a range of up to 250 miles per charge and 154bhp.

Finally, another model that Nationwide Vehicle Contracts highlighted was in demand from motorists leasing a car in 2024 was the Nissan Juke.
The Qashqai’s smaller stablemate was first introduced in 2010, with a second generation version introduced in 2019, bringing even bolder styling that most Brits either love or hate.
Leasers can choose between petrol or hybrid powertrains, but all examples of the latest Juke are well-equipped and competitively priced.
