Meghan and Harry are gearing up for another US Christmas with Archie and Lilibet
and allow their children and to open their presents on Christmas Eve, the Duke once revealed.
The are known to exchange gifts on Christmas Eve, rather than on Christmas Day. This tradition dates back nearly two centuries – and is something that Harry enjoyed as a child alongside his brother .
Although they stepped down from royal duties in 2020, and soon moved to the US, Harry revealed in his memoir Spare that the couple have kept the tradition alive for Archie, five, and three-year-old Lilibet.
Writing about their first Christmas in the US in 2020, Harry wrote: “It was Christmas Eve. We FaceTimed with several friends, including a few in Britain.
“We watched Archie running around the tree. And we opened presents. Keeping to the Windsor family tradition.”

Meghan and Harry have reportedly enjoyed Christmas in the US since 2020 – and welcomed their daughter in 2021.
The couple have both shared their love of the festive period – especially now that they have children.
Speaking recently to , Meghan, 43, said that she is – and is especially looking forward to seeing the festivities through their eyes.
Meghan told the publication: “At first, I think as a mum with children you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet. But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year.”

Discussing how she and are planning on making this Christmas special for Archie and Lilibet, Meghan shared that they like to carry out popular traditions like many parents across the world.
The doting mum said that the family’s traditions include leaving “carrots for the reindeer”.
Meghan and Harry last spent Christmas at Sandringham with the royals in 2018. The following year, the couple made the decision to spend Archie’s first Christmas in Canada.
