Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington made it to week eight of Strictly
star spoke about her time on the hit show, and how one comment the judges made would rile her.
She and partner Kai Widdrington made it to the Blackpool special week before being eliminated, as Angela’s impressive dance moves sealed her success to week eight.
But despite the judges being stunned by her incredible flexibility at 80 years old, Angela admitted there was one comment that would leave her unimpressed.
Speaking at an event to Express.co.uk and other press: “On the show, you just want to go out there and feel I want to do justice to myself.
“I want to do justice for myself and to my professional and to my audience and actually go out and give a performance, and do as well as I possibly can. and hopefully the judges like what you do.”
Angela revealed the one comment the judges made which annoyed her
She continued: “But the important thing which the audience don’t always understand is, as a viewer, I get quite cross by the rules, when the judges say something and they say ‘you didn’t do that properly’ and point out your technique was off, because the whole point of it is you are going on a journey.
“If you’re someone who is not a dancer, you are learning something about yourself every week as well as learning the dance.”
However, Angela admitted that the judges are only trying to be constructive, as she added: “I always think that it’s really important that you listen to what the judges say because they are experts. They know what they’re talking about.
“And if they say you didn’t do that, you’ve got to do this, You should listen to them.”

Angela’s comments came after Craig Revel-Horwood faced backlash for his comments to contestants, with many people thinking he was being harsh to stars such as and .
However, as he reined in his sharp tongue, former pro dancer James Jordan then said he thought he was being “too woke” with his remarks.
He said to Buzz Bingo: “People sometimes forget Craig isn’t from our dance world. I love Craig as a judge, I’m not taking anything away from him as a judge. He used to be my favourite, apart from he’s gone all woke now.
“He used to say it as it is, if he saw something that wasn’t good, he was quite happy to say what he thought. But now he sugarcoats everything he’ll say a negative and then say, but I thought you were fantastic.”
