Marcus Rashford would not be at Manchester United if Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge.

The fiery disciplinarian didn’t stand for anybody speaking out of line once, no matter how important the player was.

But Rashford has been given indefinite lives and continues to get away with it.

Ferguson exiled key defender Jaap Stam after making controversial comments about his teammates in his 2001 autobiography.

Skipper followed him out of the door four years later after criticising his teammates in an MUTV interview.

Dwight Yorke’s party lifestyle led to his exit. And of course David Beckham’s celebrity stardom rubbed his boss up the wrong way.

No matter how big a talent the player was, Ferguson towed a very hard line.

This is how you need to deal with anybody whose focus is not 100% on football when playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world.

And if doesn’t kick Rashford out in January, it could be the beginning of his undoing.

FIFA make mockery of best XI

FIFA should be ashamed of themselves for picking William Saliba at left-back in their men’s best XI.

It makes a mockery of the entire team if they’re going to randomly assign positions just to fit players in.

Also, Alejandro Grimaldo and Josko Gvardiol shouldn’t be disrespected like that.

Lawson not a B driver

LIAM Lawson is not Valtteri Bottas or – he won’t be happy being a B driver.

If ‘s car is competitive next year, will have a genuine threat from inside his own team for the first time in years.

The Dutchman could reach a boiling point we’ve not seen before.
