Great Scotland Yard Hotel is located in London
A new festive is in town at the five-star , in Westminster.
The is housed in an 1820’s Grade II listed building which is a stone’s throw away from Trafalgar Square and Nelson’s Column.
Great Scotland Yard Hotel was originally the HQ of the Metropolitan Police, subsequently taken over by the Ministry of Defence, and also used as the recruitment office during both World Wars.
However, now it is host to a multi-sensory Festive Afternoon Tea which we got to try out for ourselves.
The tea at The Parlour is in partnership with B Corp’s premium chocolate brand, Valrhona Chocolate, where we tried seasonal treats and classic scones.

There was also delicious sweet treats at hand
Overall, the experience was a true delight with the customer service, food, and of course, the tea all going down a treat.
The highlight of the menu was the gingerbread scones (I thought was better than the classic plain ) which had a melt-in-the-mouth middle and hard exterior and were paired beautifully with the jam and clotted cream.
Not only would this afternoon tea be perfect to enjoy with a parent, partner, or friend but also with your pet too.
Guests can enjoy festive delights from the menu including:
- Wild mushroom and rocket quiche
- Turkey, celeriac remoulade, and cranberry sauce on brown bread
- Smoked salmon, caviar, horseradish cream on malted bread
- Egg truffle mayo and chives on pain de mie (V)
- Chestnut and Montgomery cheddar Yorkshire pudding (V)
- Freshly baked plain and spiced gingerbread scones and cornish clotted cream and blackberry jam
