During Friday’s episode of audience members were treated to glorious panto get-up live on air.
Kate Lawler gave viewers the latest information on the contest straight from Birmingham’s Hippodrome Theatre and decided to take a cheeky look inside Alison’s dressing room.
Alison has taken a brief hiatus from her presenting role to delight audiences as The Magical Mermaid in pantomime. In conversation with the ITV star, Kate Lawler couldn’t resist showing co-hosts and a framed photo on the wall.
The picture showed Dermot and Alison in their spooky Halloween outfits, prompting Alison to beam with joy: “There’s Dermot!” This led to a puzzled moment back at the studio when Dermot queried: “Dressed as Frankenstein?!”

It didn’t take long for Josie to realise she was absent from Alison’s wall of memories. Flustered, she inquired: “Where’s me? ! Where is me? Where am I Al?”
Alison searched her dressing room for a way out while Josie delivered a playful but probing remark: “Oh, this is a bit awkward, isn’t it?” Alison quickly back-tracked in an attempt to defuse the awkwardness, reports .
Her response came quick, she commented: “It’s in the bathroom! We can’t go in the bathroom. Me and you in the bathroom.” Laughter erupted between Alison and Kate, even as Josie playfully issued a warning.
Josie was less than impressed with Alison leaving her off of the wall
Josie lightheartedly cautioned her colleague: “I think we need to talk.” After the feed from Birmingham concluded, Dermot provided the audience with further details about Alison’s pantomime adventures, including when they could catch her next.
However, Josie was noticeably upset about the absence of her picture in Alison’s dressing room. She warned Dermot: “I’m going to talk to her, you’re in trouble with me Al!”
Away from This Morning, Josie and Alison share a close friendship, even spending Christmas together with their sons Aiden and Reggie. During the show, Alison also shared a touching tribute to her late mother while on stage.

Speaking to Kate, she revealed: “Do you remember last year when lovely Dermot (O’Leary) and the whole team brought me a wonderful chair with the plaque of my mum’s name on it?
“It’s dead centre in the middle of the stage and literally, it’s like I’m performing to my mum. It means the world to me, it’s beautiful. It’s lovely to be back.”
Tragically, Alison’s mother, Maria, passed away from lung and liver cancer in January 2020. Shortly after, her father Clifford also died.
