Sources have told the that sending British troops to the war-torn country – not to fight but to help with training – has not been ruled out by the government.
Defence Secretary John Healey met Ukrainian officials in Kyiv this week to discuss plans on how to boost military support for for 2025.

Healey promised an additional £225 million of military support as he met with his Ukrainian counterparts, with the new aid package will go towards purchasing drones, artillery shells and air defence systems.
