T’is the season for parties and drinks and if you are hosting one this year, a wine saver will be useful to stop you from pouring leftover wine down the drain. This could also be a great no-brainer gift to that person who loves a tipple.
There are several types of wine saver on the market but this is a great and easy-to-use accessory for anyone who loves wine.
This rechargeable electric vacuum pump is designed for vacuum sealing your still wine bottles but not your sparkling wine bottles, which means it won’t work on champagne and prosecco. Instead of shelling out £280 on a top-notch , this Peugeot electric alternative costs £89.90.

I no longer shy away from opening a nicer bottle of wine for a midweek glass,” one shopper shared and a second added: “I’m always hesitant to open a bottle of wine because I’m the only drinking in the house so I’m happy to have this Peugeot pump to stop my wine ‘going flat’.”
According to Peugeot, they advised: “Store the bottle vertically in the refrigerator to improve the preservation process. The depending on the remaining quantity of wine in the bottle and its characteristics.”

Don’t miss…
With the holidays upon us, I got my hands on a set of the Peugeot electric wine pump and tested it out at my Christmas do over the weekend. At the end of the party I had a bottle of merlot and a bottle of sauvginon blanc left and instead of forcing the cork back into the wine bottle, I used the Peugeot stopper and placed the pump on top which automatically start vacuum sealing.
It stopped when a blue light flashed and the device made a beep and I knew that the sealing was complete. I get to finish the bottle on the third day and the taste remain more or less the same. The downside is you only get to preserve two bottles each time but you can always buy extra stoppers online.
The is available to buy online at £89.90, meanwhile there are other options including the manual with two stoppers, now £13.96, was £17.99.
Debenhams also slashed prices on this from £41.99 to £21.24.
