Recent information led investigators to believe the disappearance of Chantelle Moore, 30, is suspicious and IHIT has taken over
The disappearance of a 30-year-old woman who hasn’t been seen or heard from since late October is now being investigated as a homicide.
On Nov. 18, the family of Chantelle Moore reported her missing to Surrey RCMP after they hadn’t heard from her for an extended period.
“As a result of a robust investigation led by the Surrey RCMP and Langley RCMP, investigators determined that Ms. Moore was last seen at a hotel in Langley,” said Integrated Homicide Investigation Team Sgt. Freda Fong.
The investigation was recently turned over to IHIT after those working on the missing person case got new information suggesting Moore’s disappearance was suspicious.
“A lot of questions remain unanswered,” Fong said Thursday. “Chantelle’s family and loved ones deserve to know what happened to her and we will continue to work with Langley RCMP to advance this case.”
