TV personality has seemingly taken a break from the UK amid ongoing investigations into misconduct allegations, venturing off on a glamorous cruise with his wife Anna.
The ex-MasterChef star shared a snapshot on , dressed to the nines in a bow tie and flashing a smile as they prepped for an evening of fine dining aboard the luxury Queen Anne vessel.
Though he initially shared his excitement with his followers, captioning the post “Big date night,” and showcasing Anna poised for Sir Samuel’s restaurant renowned for its “succulent steaks” and seafood, the post was swiftly deleted.
The couple embarked on an enchanting North Sea and Baltic cruise with Cunard, departing Sunday from Southampton and touching upon Paris, Bruges, Rotterdam, culminating in Hamburg, Germany, as of yesterday.
However, shortly after Wallace posted the celebratory video on Thursday evening, it vanished from his stories. At 60, Gregg Wallace, who has previously spoken on the Queen Anne within the last year, left fans questioning whether his journey was for leisure or business.
The TV chef is embroiled in , with 13 allegations surfacing from various programmes spanning 17 years. An inquiry led by MasterChef’s production company Banijay is underway to look into the claims made against him.
After a backlash on social media for his comments dismissing his accusers as “middle-class women of a certain age”, the presenter issued a heartfelt apology.
In his video, Wallace expressed remorse, stating: “I want to apologise for any offence that I caused with my post yesterday and any upset I may have caused. I wasn’t in a good headspace when I posted it, I’ve been under a huge amount of stress, a lot of emotion, I felt very alone, under siege yesterday when I posted it. It’s obvious to me I need to take some time out now, while this investigation is under way”, reports .
