Mark Dolan has spoken out about his GB News axe
Former star has spoken out publicly about being axed from his hosting duties on the news channel earlier this week. In a scathing tell-all the 50-year-old presenter shared what really went on behind the scenes.
Taking to his YouTube account on Friday evening (December 20), the comedian launched his own show – . On there he posted a clip called ‘SACKED by GB News – My Story’ as he explained what had happened, saying that it has “escalated”.
He said that he had been paid to “have an opinion” and would never change what he said – even when he had sometimes been wrong. Mark promised that he would be “naming and shaming in the months ahead”.
Mark explained that he recently lit up a cigarette live on air to make a point – breaking not only broadcasting rules but also the building’s rules. He admitted: “I could have got the channel evicted but I had a point to make and I wanted to make it in a way that everyone would notice. That’s what I’m like, that’s what I do best.”
He went on to share that he would be presenting his own show, on YouTube which would be “uncensored and unapologetic”, as he is no longer appearing on GB News. He added: “In terms of my departure, let me say my numbers were outstanding.”

The host admitted: “Let me tell you that GB News was not my choice. I was fired. It took minutes. But let me tell you, they did it nicely.”
Dolan shared that he was “relieved from duties” on GB News on Wednesday. In a shocking social media post, the TV star wrote: “STATEMENT. GB News have made the decision to permanently relieve me of my duties at the channel.”
He added: “I will speak publicly about this in due course.” Fans instantly rushed to support him. In an earlier post, he penned: “SOME NEWS I’ve hosted my last MARK DOLAN TONIGHT on GB News More to follow…”

Appearing on his Outspoken YouTube series on Thursday (December 19), Dan said: “What is this about? Is it to save money? Is it to get rid of presenters who challenge the narrative? Or is there something else afoot?
“I’m not someone that likes to dance on someone else’s grave… but it’s only fair of me to present both sides of the picture and people are saying that this is what happens when you give in to management and you become their b***h and you are prepared to throw your colleagues under the bus.”
