LG TV SIGNATURE OLED T release
If you hate the sight of a big black TV screen in your living room, LG has the answer to your prayers. The Korean technology giant has just announced the release of its latest and greatest telly, and it . That means when it’s switched off it just blends into the surrounds rather than sticking out like a very sore thumb.
Both LG and showed off clear screens earlier this year at the CES technology show but this is the first time a see-through television will actually be available to buy.
LG says that its SIGNATURE OLED T will go on sale soon in the US with more markets expected to follow soon.
Along with looking more atheistically pleasing there are other benefits of this new television. You can have it set to be always on which turns it into a stunning digital canvas.

There’s also the option to have something called the T-Bar switched on. This is a sleek info-ticker that appears along the bottom edge of the screen, providing sports results, weather forecasts news and more.
The SIGNATURE OLED T also uses LG’s neat Zero Connect Box technology which beams content to the 4K screen wirelessly. That means there’s no need to have messy set-top boxes or game consoles in sight, as these can be plugged into the Zero Connect Box and then tucked away in a cupboard.
Another nice feature of the SIGNATURE OLED T is its unique stand, which looks more like a piece of furniture than a giant telly.
Of course, it also comes with all the usual features, such as access to the latest streaming services, voice search, and a 120Hz variable refresh rate for improved gaming.
“LG SIGNATURE OLED T is an exceptional user-focused innovation that offers a distinctive, multi-faceted viewing experience and unprecedented spatial flexibility,” said Park Hyoung-sei, president of the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “LG remains at the forefront of innovation by combining its industry-leading OLED technology with unique form factors, transparent screens, wireless connectivity and more, delivering unparalleled, life-enriching advancements no other TV maker can replicate.”
There’s no word on price but don’t expect this telly to be a bargain.
